Online consumer spending in non-food has risen more than 60% since COVID-19 took over Europe, according to GfK. Consumers in Europe are doing their groceries more and more online. Especially the United Kingdom, where 42% say to buy more online than in store. This is one of the results from a study by Amcor. This study surveyed 1,000 online grocery shoppers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden to gain insights on the online fresh food shopping market.
