The new partnership will enable seamless second-hand device purchases, expand global service delivery, and promote sustainable tech consumption.

3stepIT and ExpandNow Forge Strategic Alliance

\n\n\n\n

3stepIT, a European leader in Circular Technology Services, has announced a strategic partnership with ExpandNow, a global e-commerce solutions provider. This collaboration aims to democratize access to high-quality pre-loved technology and improve the delivery of sustainable IT services to a broader user base.

\n\n\n\n

By leveraging ExpandNow’s advanced Merchant of Record (MoR) platform, 3stepIT is enhancing its Employee Purchase Programme (EPP)—an initiative that allows employees to buy refurbished company devices for personal use.

Simplifying the Purchase of Refurbished Devices

\n\n\n\n

ExpandNow’s platform ensures all legal, regulatory, and tax compliance requirements are managed across regions, creating a frictionless and risk-free purchasing experience. Employees can now easily acquire used devices, extending their lifecycle and reducing electronic waste.

\n\n\n\n
\n

“This strategic partnership with ExpandNow represents a significant milestone as we continue to enhance our service capabilities. Together, we’re streamlining the employee purchase process and unlocking new ways to deliver value globally,” said Jakob Lagander, CEO of 3stepIT.

\n
\n\n\n\n

Promoting a Circular Lifecycle for Technology

\n\n\n\n

The EPP initiative builds upon 3stepIT’s existing circular technology services and complements its earlier partnership with SkyTech Control, which enabled secure device retention by users. Now, with ExpandNow’s support, the lifecycle of IT assets can continue from corporate ownership to personal use—extending product lifespan and minimizing environmental impact.

\n\n\n\n

This evolution marks a shift from traditional B2B-only models, allowing 3stepIT to expand into B2C markets while staying true to its sustainability and resource efficiency values.

\n\n\n\n

ExpandNow Powers B2B2C Transformation

\n\n\n\n

As part of the collaboration, ExpandNow provides its global infrastructure to enable direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, simplify cross-border payments, and ensure full compliance across markets.

\n\n\n\n
\n

“We are thrilled to support 3stepIT in entering consumer markets. Our Merchant of Record platform bridges the B2B and B2C gap, simplifies global commerce, and strengthens our foundation for global scale,” said Thomas Muller, CEO of ExpandNow. “Together, we are delivering sustainable and impactful technology solutions.”

\n
\n\n\n\n

A Shared Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

\n\n\n\n

Both companies are aligned in their mission to drive sustainable digital transformation. This partnership exemplifies how combining innovative e-commerce infrastructure with circular IT services can have a real-world impact, benefiting businesses, individuals, and the planet.
