This means that, on Jet.com, you can now buy the iPhone, iPad, Mac computers, Apple Watch, Apple TV, the new HomePod, AirPods, Beats headphones and a selection of cases and accessories that are known to be coming directly from Apple. Apart from selected launch-discounts, Jet.com appears to be following Apple’s retail pricing. The products don’t appear to be included in their dynamic pricing engine.

The license gives Jet.com access to the full range of Apple products, in comparison to Amazon, who is still reliant on third-party merchants to make Apple products available. For this kind of products, this gives Amazon a disadvantage, as stock is not only restricted to what merchants have in stock and are willing to list but also raises trust issues as to whether all products are genuine.

Being an authorized dealer might have a negative effect for merchants, while Jet.com has a history of giving exclusivity to products when they are an authorized dealer.
