Plerk, a Mexican startup that provides employee perk plans and programs for companies, raised US$12 million in a Series A round in which Upload Ventures, Magma Partners, 500 Startups, MGV Capital Rappi, Frubana, and Troura, among others, participated.

This money will be used primarily for a future expansion of Perk into LATAM. According to Miguel Medina, co-founder, and CEO of the company, Plerk has worked hard during the last 18 months to improve its service. In this regard, the company aims to become the leading provider of employee benefits and benefits in the region, benefiting employers and employees.

"We are very excited to announce this round, and what better way to do it than hand in hand with great allies like Upload Ventures and the rest of our investors. This round will help us continue to grow in Mexico, where today thousands of users already enjoy the benefits of Plerk. The world has changed, and so must the benefits of work", said Miguel Medina.

All in all, Plerk seems the first of a new batch of Mexican platforms aimed at providing companies with online services and benefits for their employees. A matter of rising concern among companies after the Covid crisis, which severely impacted the quality of life of employees all over the world.
