The leading international manufacturer and supplier of environmentally friendly packaging materials has developed an entirely new small-footprint packaging solution that uses 100% curbside recyclable materials. Ranpak’s new PadPak Guardian™ converter allow users to replace plastic packaging with a range of curbside-recyclable paper materials, meeting many different requirements. Compact, fast, and simple to operate, it provides cushioning solutions either at raised heights or lower down, for standalone use or next to a working table.

The development has enabled both stronger pads and greater packaging flexibility across different environments and applications, with a new machine that suits almost any packaging need, from automotive to e-commerce. PadPak Guardian’s pads will cushion light or heavy items, from glass vases through to electrical motors. A single pad will cushion sides and corners, or packaging can be rolled into a coil.

This innovation has simplified Ranpak’s existing range of machines of different sizes, resulting in many benefits from a single machine. A significantly smaller physical footprint allows easy placement in tight corners, with better production flow and use of space. PadPak Guardian converters can be moved easily by operators when required, and quickly adjusted to the height required for individual applications. The result is an optimized packaging environment and more efficient use of business premises.

Reliable protection for products is a core benefit, thanks to Ranpak’s wide range of different paper types. These provide proven cushioning values, protecting products properly across a huge range of different applications. Operational costs are also reduced, thanks to an Enhanced Loading System that loads paper in just 20 to 30 seconds for major time savings. If a paper jam does occur, operators can resolve it with a single button, allowing rapid resolution and less paper waste. Three different speed settings are available, going up to over 1.2 m of pads per second, and there are five operation modes along with dependably low paper shrinkage.

Sustainability is at the heart of the system, reflecting Ranpak’s commitment to promoting environmentally responsible packaging. PadPak Guardian in-the-box packaging solutions not only support business growth but also protect the environment and keep customers happy.
