International payment service provider Klarna reached a turnover of €677 million, up 31% compared to 2018. More than 200.000 online and offline shops use the services of Klarna.

Despite the turnover growth, the published annual report shows that the net result is a negative €85 million. The gross market value, the sum of all sales in stores, also increased by more than thirty per cent to 31 billion euros.

Klarna continues to grow rapidly. It has added more than 75.000 new merchants in 2019. Most popular markets for the payment service provider are the United Kingdom and the United States. However, all markets show an increase in active consumers.
