LuxembourgFlagLuxembourg will launch LetzShop.lu, a national e-commerce platform which will be created to boost the urban e-commerce. The platform is an initiative of the Ministry of Economy. Economic Interest Group (GIE) is in charge of the setup and management of the e-commerce platform.

As consumers in Luxembourg are one of the leaders in online shopping, online a minor part of Luxembourg businesses have an e-commerce website. The government hopes that entrepreneurs are encouraged to start selling online. LetzShop.lu offers urban shops the opportunity to showcase products in an online storefront to sell them directly via the internet. It mostly aims at small retailers in Luxembourg.

The goal of the platform is to create an online retail platform where consumers can order products. Purchases can be delivered at home or picked up in a store. No commissions or transaction fees will be charged. Contributors will need to pay an annual fee of 500 euro to sell online. The Luxembourg government states that the platform is currently under construction and will be online in Q1 of 2018.
