Building on its expertise, as a French leader in e-commerce, Cdiscount announces a new phase in its development. The marketplace is launching a new strategic B2B activity. A complete marketplace solution (technology, products, logistics) to enable distributors, both physical and pure-players, to launch and accelerate their e-commerce activities. This major move reinforces the company's strategy of international growth and profitability.

Accelerating e-commerce

E-commerce has experienced an annual growth of 15% worldwide since 2014. It seems that this growth is mainly driven by marketplaces due to the fact that marketplaces recorded 21% growth. Compare that to only 9% for traditional retail websites. The same trend is observed in Europe. Ultimately, this reflects the expectations of consumers who favor online players capable of offering them the widest choice. In addition, 2020 has particularly accentuated the need for retailers to go digital or to accelerate their digital transformation.

Therefore, Cdiscount launched a marketplace solution for other retailers to accelerate e-commerce in the region and boost its own profitability.

Access to its catalog of 100 million products

Cdiscount offers its B2B customers the creation of a marketplace thanks to its technological platform and its expertise in AI. In addition, the marketplace offers access to its catalog of 100 million products. These products are offered by 13,000 rigorously selected French and international sellers. Furthermore, Cdiscount offers its advanced logistics, in particular with its fulfillment solution. This solution is already used by more than 2,500 French and international sellers. Lastly, the company offers daily support to optimize the activity of their marketplace.

It is because of its completeness that this offer is unique within the market. It is possible to adapt to each company according to its activity, its development ambitions and its digital maturity.
