Dutch e-commerce sector worth €22 billion in 2017

Infographic_kleinThe e-commerce turnover in the Netherlands will be worth up to 22 billion by the end of 2017. During the first three quarters, 15.7 billion euro was spent online. Q4 is expected to be worth 7 billion euro, meaning e-commerce in the Netherlands will be worth 22 billion euro by the end of the year.

The Dutch e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org, who provided the information, says it would mean an increase of 14% compared to the Dutch e-commerce industry in 2016. The Dutch have made 49.8 million online purchases. 39 million of them concerned products, 10.8 million involved services.
