ShipsupportIn collaboration with 40 suppliers, B2B maritime e-commerce platform ShipSupport.com reached the milestone of 1 million offered products. The platform, which was launched in November 2018, is one of the fastest-growing scale-ups in the maritime industry. Now, the platform is focusing on improving the online customer experience that is needed to manage the current explosive growth.

Maaike de Rover, Managing Director of ShipSupport celebrates the accomplishment. She knows that a customer-centric approach is important for the platform: "We live in a world where customers demand quick product availability. That is what we do at ShipSupport; it is easy to order online, we have transparent prices and delivery times and offer logistic service worldwide. That is why can we put our customer in the centre of our business."

A complete catalogue

The platform, originally initiated by Royal IHC, makes supply chains in the market easier. This benefits both customers and suppliers like ship owners, contractors and (repair) yards. One of the ways the platform does this is by offering a custom made product catalogue, based on a (type of) ship. De Rover: "The fact that we can offer over 1 million products now is amazing but, in the end, we strive to offer all parts of every type of ship in the world."
