Euro2An online basket was filled with 39 popular summer products in six countries across Europe. It happened to be that the e-commerce industry in France has the highest prices. However, this ‘summer basket’ is most expensive for consumers in Spain, as they have the lowest gross domestic product per capita among these countries.

This is shown by analysis from Prisync, which started to track the prices of 39 summer-favorite products, such as Birkenstock sandals, GoPro Hero 5 Session, Nivea sun lotion and a Speedo snorkel. The study was undertaken in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Prisync 100 Index
This data shows that, overall, Germany has the lowest prices, while France has the highest. Because the French consumer has more money to spend than other Europeans it doesn't mean it is the most expensive in France to buy. Germany and Italy both have the lowest prices in three categories. It turns out, the basket is most expensive for online shoppers in Spain, as they have the lowest gross domestic product per capita among the six aforementioned countries.
