elodie_vigneron_officielle What can you expect at LENGOW Days 2018? We've had a small interview with Elodie Vigneron, Head of Communication at Lengow who tells us all about the event.

Who is the event for?
Lengow Day takes you further in 2018! With the theme: "Go Beyond" this event, like the previous ones, will be aimed at international online retailers. Lengow Day on 27th September will welcome no less than 400 retailers, speakers and specialists in the European e-commerce market. Over the course of the day, participants will enjoy a rich programme of discovery and inspiration. Not forgetting our experts who will also share their vision and advice to help merchants find new sources of growth and allow them to develop or strengthen their business internationally.

What will be the main themes for this year?
Through an original programme explained by sector specialists, we invite the participants to plunge into the different key stages of the customer journey for a day. To achieve this, we built a programme based on three themes: “Get to Know Your Future Customers”, “Think Better, Act Closer” and “Go Beyond Your Achievements”. This first theme offers e-merchants the chance to (re)discover the Client via a sociological approach. Persona, environment, aspirations, new influence levers, the customer will be the starting point of this day. "Think Better, Act Closer!" will be the motto of this second theme in which the participants will be able to discover the new means, tools and innovative technologies that will serve the aspirations of all customers: current and future. From AI to phygital, you plan and imagine what the future of retail will be! The topics that will close the day will be REX, ROI, customer satisfaction and loyalty. Given the title "Go Beyond your Achievements!" this third and final theme will put the spotlight on the success stories of major brands that have succeeded thanks to winning strategies, innovative technologies and creating added value.

Is there any news of tabout programme?
This year, we will have the pleasure of welcoming the participants to a brand new Paris venue: the Pavillon Gabriel. In addition to providing editorial content dedicated to future e-commerce trends and advice/good practice workshops to participants, the 2018 Lengow Day will be punctuated by networking opportunities through dedicated discussion times with our speakers and experts, at the heart of a networking area and through our application. We will also have the pleasure of welcoming 30 e-commerce partners selected for their innovative nature, their international dimension, their omni-channel positioning or their technological footprint.

What can you tell us about this year's speakers?
For this year's event, we aim to provide a panel of international and eclectic actors who will inspire the participants of this Lengow Day. Decidedly international, this event will bring together experts from around the world as it does every year. They will share advice, feedback, and projects with participants through conferences, workshops and networking opportunities. As an example, last year we welcomed Sean McKee (Schuh), Guido Ghedin (Cifnews), Ulrich Bartholomaüs (Stylight) and Renaud Montin (Eram). The names of the 2018 event will be announced very soon

What were the major e-commerce trends this year?
This year, many trends have emerged or taken hold in the e-commerce sector. Take customer experience for example, which is a real concern on the part of the actors in the sector. Simplification of the purchasing process (online and offline, multi-device...), customisation of products/services, or attractiveness of the offer, are all actions to study and implement to offer consumers a unique shopping process without hitting wrong notes, while also differentiating from the competition. A second trend that we have been discussing for a few years now at Lengow Day, but which is still a topical trend: cross-border. Perpetually buzzing, e-commerce is now crossing borders at the request of e-shoppers who no longer think twice about ordering on foreign sites to take advantage of good plans, a wide range of products, and also new products. As evidence, 7 out of 10 European buyers make purchases on foreign sites. Finally, the management and exploitation of data is also a strong trend this year, with the entry into force of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25th May. This new regulation, which aims to protect the personal data of European users, will redefine how merchants address their prospects and customers in the medium and long term.

Is there anything already looming for next year?
While data will still be relevant next year, artificial intelligence will also come to the fore in e-commerce. Between virtual assistants, smart cities, robots, or recommendation, AI will continue to transform the e-commerce market with revenues estimated at nearly USD 90 billion by 2025, according to Statista. In any case, we will be happy to discuss it with you on 27th September. As the event is reserved for online retailers, an invitation is required. If you would like to participate, let us know now on the official website using the CBMLD18! The entire team looks forward to meeting you on 27th September 2018 at Pavillon Gabriel.
