Consumers in Europe are doing their groceries more and more online. Especially the United Kingdom, where 42% say to buy more online than in store. This is one of the results from a study by Amcor. This study surveyed 1,000 online grocery shoppers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden to gain insights on the online fresh food shopping market.
The Swedish grocery trade market showed growth over the full year 2019. This can be concluded from the monthly published Swedish Grocery Index. Compared to a year before, all months except for March showed a positive growth percentage compared to the year prior. Swedish logistics group PostNord sees its growth continue, driven by e-commerce. In the final quarter of 2019, it delivered more than 50 million parcels.
