Ecommerce News and Dataprovider, a data company, have executed research to find out how many online stores are present in Europe. According to the research, there is a 98% accuracy in the measurements. In total, there are more than 800.000 online stores in Europe.
Most online stores, 175.000, are available in Germany, followed by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France and Russia. The stores in Germany account for 20 percent of all stores in Europe.
