amazon_marketplace_newsellersAccording to an article by Ecommerce News, 363.439 European sellers have joined Amazon so far in 2017. This equals to 2,997 new sellers every day, or 124 every hour, or even 2 every minute. Among new sellers on all marketplaces that Amazon has worldwide, 36.3 percent registered on Amazon in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France or Spain. This is concluded from information gathered by Marketplace Pulse. Their analysis shows that over 1 million new sellers joined Amazon in 2017. Most new sellers joined Amazon US or Amazon in India. However, marketplaces in Europe are well presented.

An interesting finding is that the European Amazon marketplaces are growing at a similar pace. This can be explained by the fact that sellers in Europe often launch in more than one marketplace.

Only 31% of all new sellers who joined the Amazon marketplace this year received a seller feedback review. Furthermore barely 16% of all new sellers have received a seller feedback review in the last 30 days. It seems most sellers initially gain some traffic, but disappear afterward. According to the research, a lot of new sellers never even place a product online.
