Amazon is taking another step forward in its strategy to compete with low-cost Asian platforms such as Temu and Shein with the launch in Europe of Amazon Haul, a shopping experience designed for consumers looking for low prices without sacrificing Amazon's reliability. The platform is already available in beta for select customers in the United Kingdom and is expected to roll out fully in the coming weeks.

With Haul, Amazon offers users a wide range of affordable products: millions of items in more than 30 categories, including fashion, home, and lifestyle, with prices of £20 or less, most under £10, and some even starting at just £1.

Customers can access additional discounts of 5% on orders over £50 and 10% on orders over £75. In addition, shipping is free on orders over £15, while a standard fee of £2.99 applies to smaller orders.

Amazon Haul: A fun and intuitive shopping experience

Amazon Haul offers a separate browsing and shopping experience within the Amazon Shopping app, including its search engine, shopping cart, and checkout process. Products purchased through Haul are estimated to be delivered in two weeks or less.

“We are constantly working to provide the best shopping experience for our customers, and this is another way to offer low prices on a wide selection of products,” said John Boumphrey, Amazon's UK country manager. “Now more than ever, we know our customers are looking to save, and we're excited to offer more choices through the app they already know and love.”

Users can access Haul by searching for “Haul” in the Amazon app's search bar and selecting it from the main menu icon.

Free returns are guaranteed

All products on Haul comply with Amazon's safety regulations and policies, and customers will continue to enjoy the usual features such as star ratings and reviews from other shoppers. Returns are free if requested within 15 days of delivery.

With this new initiative, Amazon seeks to consolidate its position in the low-cost consumer segment, offering an alternative within its ecosystem to the international direct import marketplaces that have gained prominence in Europe. Customers often do not have to worry about boxes or labels, and their preferred delivery point, such as post offices, Asda, Morrisons, and others, will take care of packaging, labeling, and shipping.
